Police said the incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue S and West 11th Street. An FDNY firetruck responding with lights and sirens activated collided with a Ford Transit van at the intersection.

Officials reported that all other individuals involved in the crash were listed in stable condition as investigators continue examining the circumstances surrounding the collision.
