Fatal Riverbank car crash death of Adrian Solorio Mendoza – Obituary

A devastating vehicle crash early Sunday morning near Riverbank claimed the lives of Adrian Solorio Mendoza, 32, along with three members of his family after their SUV burst into flames following a collision.

Authorities said Adrian Solorio Mendoza, an Oakdale resident, was traveling with his family when the crash occurred along Oakdale-Waterford Highway north of Claribel Road, resulting in the deaths of Mendoza, his partner Brenda Cisneros Vaca, 27, and their two young daughters, Ariana Solorio Cisneros and Ashley Solorio Cisneros.

Emergency responders were dispatched shortly after 3 a.m. following reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a burning vehicle. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they discovered four occupants trapped inside the SUV, which was already engulfed in flames. All four victims were pronounced dead at the location.

Investigators said the family had been traveling in a 2014 Dodge SUV when the vehicle, for reasons that remain unclear, left the roadway while heading north and slammed into a concrete structure near an irrigation canal. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire almost immediately.

Two other children, a 12-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, survived the incident. The older child sustained severe burn injuries and was flown to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment, while the younger child received care locally for moderate injuries.

Officials said the two surviving children share the same last name and address as the victims, though authorities have not yet confirmed their exact relationship to the deceased family members.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated by the California Highway Patrol. At this time, officials say it has not been determined whether drugs or alcohol played any role in the incident.

Friends, relatives, and community members have expressed their grief on social media while organizing efforts to help the surviving children and extended family. A GoFundMe campaign titled “Familia Solorio” has been launched to assist with funeral expenses and other needs.

Additionally, supporters are planning a fundraising food sale scheduled for March 14 at a home on Poppy Hills Drive in Atwater, where proceeds will go toward burial costs and support for the family following the tragic loss.
