Fatal Pocatello, Idaho motorcycle crash death of Tyeson Iverson – Obituary

Officials in Bannock County have confirmed the identity of a man who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 15 in south Pocatello. The victim, 31-year-old Tyeson Iverson of Pocatello, was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash.

According to Idaho State Police, the incident happened Friday at approximately 2:51 p.m. along the northbound lanes of I-15 near the South Fifth Street exit at milepost 67. Iverson had been riding a 2021 Indian Motorcycle Chieftain when he reportedly lost control of the bike for reasons that have not yet been determined.

Authorities stated that the motorcycle struck a guardrail before coming to a stop on the right shoulder of the highway. Iverson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Following the accident, northbound traffic on Interstate 15 was shut down for about two and a half hours while emergency crews responded and cleared the area.

Bannock County Coroner Torey Danner extended condolences to Iverson’s loved ones, expressing sympathy for their loss.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Pocatello Fire Department, Pocatello Police Department, Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue teams, the coroner’s office, and the Idaho Transportation Department.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
