Fatal Daytona Beach shooting death of Tyrone Allen – Obituary

Police in Daytona Beach have identified the man who lost his life following a shooting in a neighborhood earlier this month. Authorities confirmed the victim as 25-year-old Tyrone Allen.

The incident occurred around 1:04 a.m. on March 7 near the intersection of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard and Pearl Street. Officers responding to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of Pearl Street found Allen lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Emergency responders transported him to Halifax Health Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

During the investigation, a woman arrived at the hospital reporting she had been grazed by a bullet during the same shooting. Police stated her identity has not been released as she is considered a witness in the case.

Authorities also clarified that the shooting was not connected to Bike Week events. As of now, officials have not announced any arrests or confirmed whether a suspect has been located. The investigation remains ongoing.
