Fatal St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana head-on crash death of Jessica Cannatella – Obituary

A deadly collision on Louisiana Highway 1085 claimed the life of 47-year-old Jessica G. Cannatella of Ponchatoula on Tuesday afternoon, authorities reported. The crash involved a northbound vehicle crossing the center line and striking Cannatella’s southbound Jeep Cherokee.

State Police identified the driver responsible as 38-year-old Holly M. Williams of Abita Springs, who showed signs of impairment at the scene. Williams was hospitalized with moderate injuries and will face charges upon release, including vehicular homicide, vehicular negligent injuring, third-offense DWI, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and use of a fake vehicle inspection sticker.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m., with Williams driving a 2014 Nissan Murano carrying a front-seat passenger. Investigators continue to review the circumstances leading to the tragic head-on collision that resulted in Cannatella’s death.
