A tragic head-on collision in Sylvania on Thursday morning claimed the life of 45-year-old Robin Steele. Authorities reported that Steele, who lived on Newcastle Drive, was traveling north on Talmadge Road near Sulgrave Street at approximately 6:30 a.m. when another vehicle heading south crossed over the center line.

The two vehicles collided directly, causing severe damage. Emergency crews worked to remove Steele from his car, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 51-year-old Grant Boyd Jr., sustained injuries and was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital for treatment.

Officials stated that the crash remains under active investigation as they work to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
