Fatal Moreno Valley assault death of Sean Street – Obituary

A 38-year-old man has died after suffering injuries in an alleged assault in Moreno Valley, leading to a murder arrest, according to authorities.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hospital on the afternoon of March 17 after receiving reports that a man had been dropped off with serious injuries believed to be caused by an attack. The victim, identified as Sean Street of Moreno Valley, later succumbed to those injuries.

Investigators determined that the assault took place in the 14000 block of Big Horn Avenue. Witnesses at the scene provided information that led authorities to identify 37-year-old Brandon Thigpen as the suspect.

Thigpen was later found within Moreno Valley and taken into custody without resistance. He was subsequently booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of murder.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with additional information to contact investigators.
