A 64-year-old woman lost her life following a three-vehicle collision in Morton County on Thursday morning. Authorities confirmed that Rachel Miller was a passenger in a minivan involved in the crash along State Highway 6, south of St. Anthony.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, all three vehicles were traveling in the same direction when the collision occurred. Investigators say the crash happened as two of the vehicles attempted to pass at the same time, leading to the chain-reaction incident.

Miller suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead as a result of the crash. Two other occupants of the minivan were hurt and transported for medical treatment, though the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

Officials reported that individuals in the other two vehicles were not injured. The crash remains under investigation as authorities continue to review the circumstances leading up to the incident.
