Authorities have confirmed that a Georgia man died in a rollover crash over the weekend on U.S. Highway 91 north of Preston. The victim, 23-year-old John G. Mills IV of Cumming, Georgia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mills was a passenger in a 2005 Toyota Highlander driven by a 22-year-old man, also from Cumming, when the vehicle left the southbound lane around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Officials reported that the driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to roll over a guardrail.

The driver was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, though no updates on his condition have been released. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Idaho State Police are investigating the incident, with assistance from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Franklin County Fire Department. Authorities continue to review the circumstances leading to the rollover.
