Emergency crews from Rockville and Montgomery County responded shortly after 3 a.m. on March 22 to the intersection of Norbeck Road and East Guide Drive after an automatic crash alert was triggered.

Investigators determined that the crash involved a gray 2025 BMW M8 traveling eastbound on Norbeck Road. It then struck a curb and a pedestrian sign, overturned, and continued through the intersection, hitting another curb and sign before colliding with multiple trees.
The vehicle ultimately came to rest inside a drainage trench.
