Authorities have identified 73-year-old Andrew Mellor of Eau Claire as the man who lost his life in a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Buffalo County.

According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. along Highway 37 in the Township of Modena. Mellor was riding his motorcycle when he veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Mellor was pronounced dead at the location of the crash.

Officials have not released additional details as the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
