Fatal Little River, Wisconsin hit-and-run death of Riley King – Obituary
Authorities in Little River, Wisconsin, have confirmed that 20-year-old Riley King was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Monday night. King’s family said he was expected to celebrate his 21st birthday next month.
Deputies responded around 11:46 p.m. to Highway 41 at County Highway A, where they found King in the northbound lanes. The driver responsible for the crash fled the scene and remained at large. Preliminary reports indicate the vehicle was traveling north on Highway 41 at the time of the collision.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. Fire and EMS personnel from Little River, Oconto, and Marinette County also responded to the scene.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspect vehicle or driver to call the sheriff’s office at (920) 834-6900 and ask to speak with a detective sergeant. Investigators are reviewing clues such as vehicles with fresh damage or unusual repairs, as well as changes in transportation patterns, to identify the driver.
