Fatal Wayne County plane crash claims the life of Charles Finck, 79, of Elk River, Minnesota – Obituary.
On Monday morning, a tragic plane crash in Wayne County resulted in the death of 79-year-old Charles Finck, a resident of Elk River, Minnesota. The crash occurred approximately seven miles north and three miles west of Wayne, Nebraska. According to FAA records, the plane involved in the incident was owned by Finck.
This unfortunate event followed another deadly plane crash that same morning in Knox County. Around 9:30 a.m., a small plane crashed about four miles southwest of Crofton, resulting in the death of the pilot, 73-year-old Joseph Rudloff of Norfolk, Nebraska.
Nebraska State Patrol troopers, along with first responders and Knox County Sheriff’s deputies, responded to both crash sites. Drones were deployed to assist in the ongoing investigations. The National Transportation Safety Board has been contacted and is currently investigating both incidents.
