A 22-year-old man from Fairport lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 490 in Rochester Wednesday night, according to New York State Police. The tragic incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. near the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Bridge that spans I-490, as reported by Trooper Lynnea Crane. Gividen was traveling west when his motorcycle veered off the highway and collided with a guard rail, causing him to be ejected from the bike.
Emergency personnel tried to revive him at the scene before transporting him to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with troopers continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
