Kenneth Gay dies in fatal Akron shooting
Fatal Akron shooting death of Kenneth Gay – Obituary
Kenneth Gay, aged 33, was identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office following his death early Saturday morning outside the Exhale Hookah Lounge in Akron.
Police were dispatched to the 500 block of East Exchange Street around 2:16 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Gay with gunshot wounds outside the lounge. Emergency Medical Services were summoned, but Gay was declared dead at the scene.
Most patrons of the lounge had already left by the time officers arrived, according to police.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip.
