Fatal Toronto stabbing death of Ana Paula Kitterhing De Sousa – Obituary.
Toronto police have identified the woman who died after a stabbing incident in the city’s west end on Sunday night.
Authorities responded to a call around 10:30 p.m. at a location on Davenport Road, close to St. Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a man armed with a knife, who was subsequently detained.
Shortly after, police found a woman suffering from stab wounds inside a residence on Chambers Avenue, a nearby street. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Ana Paula Kitterhing De Sousa, a resident of Toronto.
A 46-year-old Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing and was set to appear in court on Monday.
Police spokesperson Const. Laura Brabant confirmed that the victim and the suspect knew each other.
Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and contact the police.
