Fatal Chicago train shooting death of Rhanni Davis – Obituary
Forest Park, Illinois, police have identified Rhanni S. Davis, 30, as the suspect in a fatal shooting on a Chicago commuter train that occurred early on Labor Day morning, September 2.
Davis faces four counts of first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court on September 4.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has confirmed the identities of three of the victims. Simeon Bihesi, 28, was shot multiple times, while Adrian Collins, 60, and Margaret A. Miller, 60, were struck in the head.
The identity of the fourth male victim has not yet been released, but the medical examiner indicated that he succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting was reported around 5:30 a.m. on a Blue Line train.
When police arrived, the shooter had already fled, but a suspect fitting the description was later apprehended on a Pink Line train after reviewing CTA Security footage.
The Chicago Transit Authority described the incident as “isolated” and condemned the violence as unacceptable on public transportation.
According to Forest Park Deputy Police Chief Chris Chin and Mayor Rory Hoskins, the victims were asleep when they were attacked.
Hoskins expressed shock at the senseless violence, noting that it occurred on what should have been a peaceful holiday.
