BRYAN, Texas — The victim of the tragic auto-pedestrian accident in Bryan has been identified as Phil Phillips, a 63-year-old resident of the city.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, around 5 a.m., in the 1700 block of North Earl Rudder Freeway. Officers from the Bryan Police Department responded to the scene, where they found Phillips had succumbed to his injuries. The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and has been fully cooperative with law enforcement during the ongoing investigation.
In the aftermath, northbound Highway 6 was temporarily closed to allow for a thorough investigation by the Bryan Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, and Traffic Safety Unit.
