In a tragic incident on Sunday, a small plane crashed near Ferrisburgh, Vermont, resulting in the deaths of four individuals.
The Piper PA-46-500TP Malibu Meridian went down in a wooded area close to Basin Harbor Airport. The Vermont State Police recovered the bodies from the wreckage of the four-seat, single-engine aircraft.
The victims have been identified as Connecticut residents: Paul Pelletier, 55, of Columbia; Frank Rodriguez, 88, of Lebanon; Susan Van Ness, 51, and her 15-year-old daughter, Delilah Van Ness, both of Middletown.
The plane had departed from Connecticut on Sunday morning, making a brief stop at Basin Harbor for brunch before attempting to return. When they failed to arrive back in Connecticut as scheduled, concerned relatives contacted the authorities.
