Barbara J. Royster, a 68-year-old resident of Chesterfield, was tragically killed in a crash while crossing Jefferson Davis Highway on the evening of September 8. The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. when a 2001 Nissan Altima struck her.
Emergency responders from the Chesterfield County Police Department arrived at the scene and pronounced Royster deceased.
The driver of the vehicle remained on-site, and authorities are still investigating the accident.
