Fatal San Antonio shooting death of Cody Guerrero – Obituary
On Saturday night, 33-year-old Cody Guerrero was shot and killed during an altercation regarding loud animals on Balboa Avenue in San Antonio.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 11:08 p.m., where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Guerrero was declared dead at the scene, while his 71-year-old neighbor, who had been shot in the buttocks, was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
According to investigators, the conflict began as an argument over noisy animals running loose, which quickly escalated.
Both men ended up in the street, where each pulled a gun, leading to the deadly confrontation.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine the aggressor and whether charges will be filed against the surviving man.
