Clay E. Russell dies in fatal Wilmington, Illinois car crash
Fatal Wilmington crash death of Clay E. Russell – Obituary.
Clay E. Russell, a 61-year-old man from Lincoln, Illinois, lost his life in a crash on I-55 near Wilmington on Sunday. Will County Coroner Laurie H. Summers confirmed Russell was pronounced dead at 5:15 a.m. after the accident, which occurred at mile marker 238.5 on the southbound side of the highway.
The Illinois State Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. An autopsy has already been performed, and the official cause and manner of death will be determined after the completion of police reports, as well as toxicology findings, according to the coroner’s office.
