Arthur Eugene Pehrson dies in fatal northwest of Las Vegas Valley crash
Fatal northwest of Las Vegas Valley crash death of Arthur Eugene Pehrson – Obituary
An Oregon resident, Arthur Eugene Pehrson, 21, of La Grande, lost his life in a traffic accident on US 93 early last Thursday. According to Nevada State Police, the incident occurred around 2:26 a.m. at mile marker 29, approximately 149 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Pehrson was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck when he veered off the road, striking a guard rail. The collision caused the vehicle to overturn and crash into an embankment, resulting in Pehrson being ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash. As of now, the Southern Command of the Highway Patrol has handled 51 fatal crashes this year, resulting in 59 fatalities. Data for 2024 is preliminary and may be updated as further details emerge.
