Fatal Honolulu shooting death of Christina Baca – Obituary.
Honolulu authorities have confirmed the identity of a woman found shot to death near the University of Hawaii as 50-year-old Christina Baca. Investigators are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating the person responsible for her murder.
The case began on Friday, September 13, when police responded to a report of an unresponsive individual in a storm drain close to the UH Faculty Housing on Dole Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that Baca had died, with her body showing signs of decomposition. A subsequent autopsy determined that she died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The police believe Baca was killed in the early hours of Monday, September 9. At the time of her last sighting, she was wearing a yellow bathing suit along with an aloha-print dress. Investigators have yet to make any arrests in connection to the case.
