Fatal Ridgeville shooting death of Marion Ja’Quell Simuel – Obituary
Authorities have identified Marion Ja’Quell Simuel, an 18-year-old from Ridgeville, as the victim in a deadly shooting that took place on Tuesday. According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on September 17 at an apartment complex in Ridgeville.
Deputies were called to the scene following a report of a “disturbance.” When they arrived, the individual who made the call directed them to the suspect, who attempted to flee. After a brief struggle, officers were able to take the suspect into custody.
Inside the apartment, deputies found Simuel, who was tragically pronounced dead on the scene. While the suspect’s identity has not yet been released, the investigation is ongoing.
