The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the motorcycle hit the deer, causing the incident. His passenger, Gay Martin, 72, was declared deceased at the scene by emergency responders from Choctaw County.
Authorities suspected that Jerry had been drinking, and he was subsequently treated and released. The report noted that Jerry was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, while Gay was properly equipped with one.
