Fatal Jackson shooting death of Jaden Morgan – Obituary.
Authorities in Jackson, Mississippi, have taken two 16-year-olds into custody regarding the murder of 17-year-old Jaden Morgan, a student at Callaway High School. Detective Tommie Brown confirmed that both teens are facing Capital Murder charges related to Morgan’s death.
Morgan was discovered fatally shot on September 13 along Watkins Drive. According to Chief Joseph Wade, the victim was confronted by the teens and other masked individuals who attempted to steal his Honda Accord. During the confrontation, Morgan was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives anticipate additional arrests in this ongoing investigation. Morgan’s death marks the 83rd homicide in Jackson this year.
