A tragic accident occurred Wednesday night on Highway 9 in Boiling Springs, resulting in the death of one individual. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident took place near Birds Eye View just before 9 p.m.
Reports indicate that a Chrysler traveling south collided with a Honda SUV that was turning onto Highway 9 from a private drive. Sadly, the driver of the Honda SUV, identified as 52-year-old Lisa Bowen from Inman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
