A child tragically passed away on Tuesday evening while participating in a youth sports program at the Bath Area Family YMCA. Family members confirmed that Evan Briggs, a second-grade student at West Bath School, was playing on the field when he suddenly collapsed.
YMCA staff quickly performed CPR and called for emergency medical assistance, but despite their efforts, Evan was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.
