Fatal Upper Marlboro crash death of Jeanette Benthall – Obituary
An 85-year-old woman has passed away after sustaining injuries in a collision involving an on-duty police officer in Prince George’s County, according to authorities. Jeanette Benthall, a resident of Largo, was involved in the accident that occurred last week.
The Prince George’s County Police Department reported that the incident took place around 11:20 a.m. on Monday, September 9, at the intersection of Campus Way and Joyceton Drive in Upper Marlboro. Both Benthall and the officer were transported to local hospitals; however, Benthall succumbed to her injuries several days later. The officer has since been discharged from the hospital.
Investigators are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the crash, gathering video footage from the scene and interviewing witnesses.
