Fatal Hampton crash death of Diamond Elizabeth Brooks – Obituary
A 26-year-old woman tragically lost her life after her vehicle collided with a pole while fleeing from a traffic stop on Friday afternoon, according to law enforcement officials. The incident occurred shortly after noon at the intersection of Hampton Roads Center Parkway and Big Bethel Road, as reported by Virginia State Police.
Authorities indicated they attempted to pull over Brooks’ Chrysler 300 sedan on westbound I-64 after observing her speeding. She accelerated away from the officers and exited I-64 at the Hampton Roads Center Parkway.
As a trooper approached her at the intersection of Big Bethel Road, Brooks attempted a right turn but lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a traffic light pole on the driver’s side.
Virginia State Police remained at the crash site until around 4 p.m., with the Hampton Commonwealth Attorney on-site to assist with the ongoing investigation.
