A woman has been charged in connection with a tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a 1-year-old boy in Yates County. Sarah Olsen, 26, from Penn Yan, is facing multiple charges, including criminally negligent homicide. She is accused of striking the child on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 364 and Carroll Road in Benton. The young victim succumbed to his injuries later at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in the area.
