Fatal Fresno shooting death of Ricardo Martinez Olguin – Obituary.
A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning in Fresno when a man was fatally shot while cycling. The incident took place shortly after 4 a.m. on East Floradora Avenue, close to Cedar and McKinley avenues.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found the 40-year-old victim lying on the sidewalk with three gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police reports.
On Monday, authorities released the identity of the victim as Ricardo Martinez Olguin. Police reported that Olguin was alert when they arrived and informed them that he had been shot by an individual who was also on a bicycle.
As of now, investigators have not identified a motive for the shooting. This marks the 23rd homicide in Fresno for the year, compared to 24 at the same time last year.
