The family of Denice Willden, a 34-year-old woman, has confirmed that she was the victim of a rollover accident in Tooele County.
Her older sister, Amie Carley, shared memories of their close bond, explaining that they were inseparable throughout life, even as adults. “On one of my worst days, she could have been right there and put a smile on my face,” Carley said, adding that Willden had always been a source of joy.
Last Monday, concern grew when no one had heard from Willden. Carley mentioned that her boss had asked her to check on her sister’s whereabouts. It was later discovered that the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a single-vehicle rollover on Mormon Trail Road near Rush Valley.
Willden’s boyfriend, upon seeing the accident report on the news, went to the scene and found that she had been involved. Authorities confirmed that Willden was the sole occupant in the crash and had died at the scene. She leaves behind two children, ages 3 and 15.
“She was a wonderful mother who would do anything for her kids and her family. She was thoughtful, helpful, and just an amazing person,” Carley said.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Willden’s children as they cope with the loss of their mother.
While the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash, Carley suspects her sister may have been distracted while driving. She urged others to remain vigilant on the road and not to take their loved ones for granted. “Pay attention while driving. Don’t take your family or friends for granted,” she advised.
