Fatal Fort Wayne pedestrian crash death of Isaac W. Brown – Obituary
The Allen County Coroner’s office has identified 22-year-old Isaac W. Brown of Fort Wayne as the victim of a tragic vehicle versus pedestrian accident that occurred early Sunday morning.
Authorities from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded just before 2 a.m. to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle in the 5400 block of Thimlar Road, located in eastern Allen County. Brown was reportedly walking alongside the road when he was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is believed to have damage to its front passenger side, though further specifics remain unavailable.
A witness later discovered Brown and informed police that a second vehicle, possibly a pickup truck, had also hit the victim before driving away. Investigators have yet to identify the make or model of this second vehicle.
Isaac W. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple blunt force injuries, with the coroner ruling his death an accident. This marks the 28th fatal crash in Allen County this year.
