Nolan Greathouse dies in fatal New Orleans shooting
Fatal New Orleans shooting death of Nolan Greathouse – Obituary.
A man shot early Saturday in the 7th Ward has been identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as 39-year-old Nolan Greathouse. According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers discovered Greathouse with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was declared dead at the scene.
Police responded to the incident at 1 a.m. on 1600 Touro Street, marking the end of an 18-day period without homicides in New Orleans, the longest stretch without murders since 2015.
Family and friends took to social media to express their sorrow over the weekend. One individual described Greathouse on Facebook as “an amazing young man, with greatness all over him,” noting the difficulty in coping with his loss.
Another Facebook post described Greathouse as “the epitome of a good man” who cherished his family, including his brother, wife, and children. “Take your rest Nolan Greathouse,” the post read. “You will never be forgotten!”
