In the early hours of Thursday, a tragic three-vehicle collision on Texas 121 resulted in the death of one driver, with two others sustaining injuries, as reported by the Euless Police Department.
Witnesses described a Chevrolet SUV speeding and weaving through traffic before the driver attempted to pass on the inside shoulder, colliding with a disabled pickup truck parked there. The Chevrolet then struck a Mazda, leading to a fire that engulfed the vehicle.
The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene, while the occupant of the disabled pickup truck was transported to Baylor Grapevine hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the Mazda was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The accident caused temporary closures in the northbound lanes of the highway between Cheek-Sparger and Glade roads.
