Freiver Yanez-Salas dies in fatal Mount Rainier, Maryland shooting
Fatal Mount Rainier, Maryland shooting death of Freiver Yanez-Salas – Obituary.
Freiver Yanez-Salas, a 22-year-old from Washington, D.C., was identified as the victim in a shooting that occurred on September 23. He was sitting in a car outside a liquor store in the 3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue in Mount Rainier when he was shot. Officers found him in the vehicle with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to Yanez-Salas, two other individuals, a man and a woman, were also injured in the shooting and were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not yet identified a suspect or motive for the crime.
Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation, and a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment. Anyone with details about the incident is urged to contact the Prince George’s County Police Department at 301-516-2512.
