Fatal Shreveport stabbing death of Eric Clinton – Obituary
Eric Clinton, a 51-year-old resident of Shreveport, was found with multiple stab wounds in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood early Wednesday morning. He was discovered near Legardy Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at approximately 9:50 a.m. After being rushed to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, Clinton passed away from his injuries at 10:35 a.m.
His identity was confirmed through fingerprint analysis, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office. This marks the 40th homicide in Shreveport in 2024 and the 43rd overall in Caddo Parish for the year. Shreveport police are still investigating the incident, and an autopsy has been ordered to determine more details surrounding his death.
