Fatal Dover crash death of Cassidy Ramsey – Obituary.
Delaware State Police are looking into a tragic single-vehicle accident that took place in Dover early Friday morning.
On September 27, 2024, at around 12:05 a.m., a Mazda CX5 was heading west on Hazlettville Road when it was reportedly speeding. Preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle failed to make a curve, veered off the road’s north side, collided with a mailbox and a utility pole’s guy-wire, and subsequently overturned. The Mazda then hit a tree before striking an unoccupied car parked at a residence on the 3900 block of Hazlettville Road. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver, 28-year-old Cassidy Ramsey of Dover, Delaware, was declared dead at the scene.
The road remained closed for an extended period as officials conducted their investigation and cleared the area.
