Cody Johnson, a 19-year-old man, has been identified as the victim of a shooting that occurred on Friday night. The incident took place at the 23600 block of the Katy Freeway near Grand Parkway and is being investigated as a potential road rage shooting. When authorities arrived, they found Johnson’s vehicle, a 2011 black Chevy Camaro with gold rims, rolling down the street.
Johnson, who recently graduated from Ridge Point High School, was planning to attend Texas State University, but those plans were disrupted following a motorcycle accident. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez indicated that the shooting might stem from a road rage altercation, and as of now, there are no identified witnesses or suspects. Authorities are requesting anyone with information about the incident to reach out to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
