Fatal Birmingham shooting deaths of Antria Holloman, Tahj Booker, Carlos McCain, and Roderick Lynn Patterson Jr. – Obituaries.

On September 21, a mass shooting in Birmingham’s Five Points South entertainment district left four people dead and 17 others injured. According to police, multiple shooters arrived at the scene, opened fire, and then fled. Authorities believe the attack was a targeted hit, but several innocent bystanders, including Antria Holloman, 21, Tahj Booker, 27, Carlos McCain, 27, and Roderick Lynn Patterson Jr., 26, were caught in the crossfire.

 

Tahj Booker’s cousin, Ra’Derrius Everson, was also shot and remains in the ICU. Another victim, Gabriel Eslami, was injured while fleeing and is recovering at home. Community members have been leaving flowers and cards at the scene to honor the victims, as the investigation continues to determine the intended targets of the shooting. No arrests have been made yet.
