The Boston Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Mattapan. Mitchell Felix Duru, 23, from Jamaica Plain, was found with gunshot wounds near 849 Cummins Highway.
Police responded to the scene around 1:05 a.m. and discovered Duru, who succumbed to his injuries at the location. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident and have asked anyone with information to reach out to the BPD Homicide Unit.
