A Bloomington resident, 41-year-old Jeffrey Flaugher II, tragically lost his life early Saturday morning after crashing his vehicle into a farm field near Tremont. Authorities pronounced him dead at 4:35 a.m. following the incident, which occurred in the 21000 block of Townline Road.
According to the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office, they received notification of a single-vehicle accident at 3:47 a.m. Upon arrival, officials discovered Flaugher’s vehicle, which he was driving alone at the time of the crash. An autopsy revealed that Flaugher died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the accident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with assistance from the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office and the Tremont Fire Department and Rescue.
