Fatal Campbell County pedestrian accident death of Aniela Kowalczyk – Obituary
Aniela Kowalczyk, a 68-year-old woman, was tragically killed after being struck by three vehicles while attempting to cross a road in Campbell County, Virginia, on Saturday night.
According to Virginia State Police, Kowalczyk was first hit while crossing the eastbound lanes of Route 460 near Scotts Farm Road around 8:15 p.m. She was subsequently struck by a 2010 Toyota Tacoma and then a 2021 GMC Canyon. Kowalczyk died at the scene, and none of the drivers involved were injured. All remained at the scene following the accident.
Authorities noted that there was no crosswalk in the area, and Kowalczyk was wearing dark clothing. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
