Fatal Hazleton house fire death of Lisa R. Thompson – Obituary.
Lisa R. Thompson, 59, tragically lost her life in a house fire in Hazleton, as confirmed by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office on Monday, September 30. Thompson was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, following the incident that occurred on Sunday, September 29.
The coroner attributed her death to inhalation of combustion products due to the house fire, ruling it accidental. The fire broke out in the 600 block of Peace Street in Hazleton on September 15. During the emergency, the Hazleton City Fire Department successfully rescued another civilian who was trapped in the fire.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the Hazleton City Fire Department in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State Police.
