Fatal San Leandro fire death of Theodis Patterson – Obituary.
A deadly fire in San Leandro on Sunday claimed the life of 78-year-old Theodis Patterson, along with a dog, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s Office. The fire broke out around 3:23 p.m. on the 14400 block of Washington Avenue. Firefighters responded quickly, but Patterson was found deceased at the scene.
Two other individuals inside the residence were able to escape the fire. The blaze damaged four apartments, leaving 12 people displaced. Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the fire, and the investigation is ongoing.
