Authorities have identified the woman who tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in Boulder on Friday. Jennifer Newman, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene near the intersection of Broadway and Rayleigh Road.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:58 a.m. when officers from the Boulder Police Department responded to reports of the accident. Investigations revealed that a 2004 Honda Accord, driven by a 27-year-old man, was traveling north on Broadway when it struck Newman, who was located north of the crosswalk.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement officials. Early reports indicated no signs of speeding or impairment being factors in the collision.
