Fatal Prince George’s County shooting death of Jawaun Jackson – Obituary

The Prince George’s County Police Department has identified Dartrell Bryant, an 18-year-old from Hyattsville, as the suspect in a deadly shooting that took place earlier this month. He is accused of killing 26-year-old Jawaun Jackson from Washington, D.C.

 

On September 19, at around 8:45 p.m., police received a report of a man lying in the roadway in the 2900 block of 52nd Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Jackson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was declared dead at the scene.

 

Investigators revealed that Bryant and Jackson were acquaintances, although details about their relationship remain undisclosed. Bryant is currently charged with both first- and second-degree murder and is being held without bond at the Department of Corrections.

 

The Homicide Unit is urging anyone with information about this incident to contact detectives at 301-516-2512.
