Robert Terrell Whitner Sr., 44, of Greenville, South Carolina, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday night, September 30, in Pickens County. The coroner confirmed that Whitner, who was wearing a helmet, died from blunt-force injuries.
The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 123, near the Five Forks Road Bridge toward Easley. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Whitner lost control of his motorcycle, veered off the road, and struck a guardrail. He was the sole occupant of the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
